NCKL Championship- RED RAIDERS WIN!!!

The most pristine day of the season was magnified by an NCKL Championship by the Red Raider Varsity Golf Team!!! Wamego (334) played well enough to win by 4 over the Abilene Cowboys (338). Freshman Ryan Elder (78) had to fight off 4 rough holes in order to tie for first; he would win the playoff hole with Abilene's Freshman Marcus Willey to take the Individual Gold Medal. Senior Ryan Helus (85) and Freshman Parker Waters (85) tied for 6th. Parker won the playoff to take the bitter-sweet medal from his teammate. Junior Dane Stewart came in 7th with a clutch (86) to seal the deal. Senior Austin Waters (95) played solid in his last meet while Junior Trevor Lindley (112) struggled to find success, but hopes to rebound for Regionals next Monday May 13th in Macpherson.
