Clay Center Tourney

Ryan Helus aligns his eyes with his putter.  He would go up and down with this 14 footer for par on the par 4 4th in Clay Center.

Paul Hartwich tees off on # 1

A new group of Raiders took the course on Thursday.  With several players contending for the 5 and 6 slots, ranging from freshman to junior, Coach Petermann has decided to give several gentlemen a taste of a Varsity tournament.  Ryan Helus, a regular on Varsity, shot a personal best (80) as the unofficial captain of the High School Golf Team.  Sophomore Trevor Lindley, no stranger to varsity competition, played in his first varsity meet in 3 weeks and penciled a respectable (100).  Vance Lacey, the freshman with potential, competed in his 3rd straight Varsity meet with a (88).  Sophomore Kyle Mueller and Junior Paul Hartwich saw varsity talent for the first time this year and shot a (98) and a (105) respectively.  Overall, the team placed (4th) in the two man, (4th) in the 4-man, and (4th) in the 6-man.
